Overview
Satoko is an Independent Non-Executive Director (and a Statutory Audit and Supervisory Committee Member) of YCP Group. She is of counsel to Morrison Foerster Law Offices (Tokyo) and is licensed to practice law in Japan and New York. Satoko has expertise in cross-border M&A and investments, and has abundant experience in corporate law, M&A, private equity, M&A deal-contingent hedges (DCH), financing, acquisition finance (LBO) and general corporate matters both domestically and internationally.
Upon completion of her training at the Legal Training and Research Institute of the Supreme Court of Japan, Satoko started her career at Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu (Tokyo) and joined Morrison Foerster after obtaining her masters (LL.M.) in the UK and US. At Morrison Foerster, she has also had the opportunity to work as in-house counsel at a leading global private equity firm and a leading global IT company. Born in New York and raised in Tokyo, London, Zurich and Hong Kong, Satoko is fluent in both Japanese and English.
